This site is live - what we are, and what we refuse to be

Today prenatalcardiology.org begins a new life as an independent education site for families navigating a fetal heart finding. If you knew this address before, read its history page first - it explains honestly who lived here (a multinational research collaboration, 2017-2023), and what our relationship to that past is: continuity of subject, not of authority.

What this site is

Five pathway stages - screening, fetal echo, reading the report, counseling, delivery - each answering the same three questions: what happens, who you meet, what to ask. A glossary translating report vocabulary. An updates log you're reading now. English and Chinese, ad-free, with no products to sell you.

What we refuse to be

• A diagnosis machine. We will never interpret an individual scan, report, or pregnancy. The only qualified source for your case is your own team.
• A hospital ranker. We name no "best centers." We explain what makes a center right for a given lesion, so you can ask better questions.
• A decision advisor. Where pregnancy decisions exist, we describe the terrain and step back. Those decisions belong to families, with their clinicians.
• A content farm. Every medical statement carries its source with an identifier. If we can't source it, we don't say it.

What comes next

The updates log will carry dated evidence entries when guidance changes or significant studies publish - with the date each source was checked. Guest essays may appear later, always labeled as personal accounts, never as medical evidence. Corrections are welcome and will be logged visibly: write to the editor via the contact in the footer of any page.
